Unless you are serving drinks in an ’80s-themed cruise party, you should know better than to put an orange wedge on a cocktail as garnish.
But alas, your job is not to sit around all day and conceptualize new, yet equally simple garnishes for your favorite libations – it is my job (and that of some of the people who work at my company, to whom I always try to pass off my homework!)
Here are some of mine…I mean our…favorites :
- Cucumbers – This season’s version of the plastic spear with an orange
- Lychee – Like a pear, but harder to pronounce and more expensive
- Cookies – Anything with cream in it gets one of these little obesity makers.
